The NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption is beginning an eight-week public inquiry into serious allegations involving political donations and people associated with the NSW Liberal Party.
Operation Rosny concerns alleged conduct between 2019 and 2023. ICAC says the inquiry will examine whether donations from prohibited donors were solicited, accepted or concealed, including alleged payments linked to party membership recruitment and renewals.
The investigation also includes allegations concerning property developer Jean Nassif and Toplace, Catholic Schools NSW, hotelier Michael O’Hara and several political or council figures.
Allegations are not findings
The inquiry is designed to gather and test evidence. ICAC has not yet made final findings, and people named in the investigation must be treated as entitled to respond to the allegations.
The commission will also examine allegations involving conduct toward a Strathfield councillor, including possible blackmail, surveillance-law breaches and misuse of public office.
Public hearings begin on 27 July 2026 and are expected to run for eight weeks. The proceedings can be watched through ICAC’s public livestream.
